Community yard sale on hold

Because of forecast thunderstorms, Texarkana, Texas, has canceled the community yard sale scheduled for today in Spring Lake Park.

“We’ve been following the weather, and it hasn’t improved, and it looks like it’s not going to improve, so we made the decision to postpone it,” said Eddie Aulds, recreation specialist with the city Parks and Wellness Department.

The yard sale has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 13. Twenty-by-twenty booths will remain available for a $15 rental fee until 5 p.m. Friday, May 12.
