NATIONAL SUMMARY: Rain will soak much of the Southeast today as thunderstorms rumble across southern Georgia and northern Florida. A storm will spread snow across the northern and central Rockies. A few showers will dampen coastal sections of California, contrasting dry and quiet weather across much of the rest of the nation with high pressure in control.
