Mobile home fire controlled early

TEXARKANA, Texas, — Liberty Eylau Volunteer Fire Department firefighters managed to extinguish a fire before it spread too far at a mobile home, inside the Country Lane Mobile Home Park, early Thursday morning.

Firefighters responded to the blaze shortly before 1:30 a.m. and found flames burning the home’s front porch, upon arrival. They managed to put the fire out before it spread to the rest of the home, Chief Mandy Freeman said.

The mobile home was occupied by an adult couple and their child, but all three made it out of the home safely, he added.

Currently the Bowie County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the incident to determine the cause.
