COrNCIL ROCh SOrTH is look­ing to turn it up a notch af­ter mak­ing it all the way to the Dis­trict 2nH CODVV AAAA finDOV Ln 2011.

When it got to the post­sea­son, the Golden Hawks cranked it up a notch, cap­tur­ing Dis­trict One-AAAA play­off wins over rp­per Dublin (34-7), Down­ing­town East (31-19) and Gar­net sal­ley (38-24) be­fore IDOOLnJ WR 3,AA finDOLVW North Penn, 34-14.

rn­for­tu­nately for head coach since Bedesem and the CR South squad, the ma­jor­ity of their key play­ers on of­fense have grad­u­ated in­clud­ing 2011 quar­ter­back Brian Donnelly, tight end P.J. Gallo (Mary­land) run- ning back Ryan Whitely and kicker Ben Solis (Stony Brook). De­fen­sive end Jake Pres­ley and tackle An­drew Co­hen will be missed on the other side of the ball as will Ryan Hickey, who played in the de­fen­sive back­fiHOG. Run­nLnJ EDFN-OLnHbacker An­thony Ali­menti (Dusquesne) will be missed on both sides of the ball as well as on spe­cial teams.

This Fri­day, the Hawks host Cen­tral Bucks South at 7 p.m. at Walt Sny­der Sta­dium on Swamp Road in New­town.
