Hol­land’s Ryan Jones named Mid-at­lantic All-re­gion

Dal­las, Pa. — Mary­wood Univer­sity se­nior Ryan Jones, of Hol­land, was re­cently named to the Na­tional Soc­cer Coaches As­so­ci­a­tion of Amer­i­caLCon­ti­nen­tal Tire NCAA Di­vi­sion III Mid-At­lantic All-Re­gion team.

Jones, a grad­u­ate of Coun­cil Rock South who be­came the school’s first all-re­gion rep­re­sen­ta­tive in 2010, was named to the Mid-At­lantic’s sec­ond team for the third con­sec­u­tive sea­son.

Jones earned the CSAC Player of the vear award in this, his se­nior sea­son af­ter reg­is­ter­ing seven goals, four as­sists and 18 points in 2012, putting the de­fender third on the team in goals and points.

The former dolden Hawk was suc­cess­ful on three of four penalty-kick op­por­tu­ni­ties while pro­duc­ing two goals in a 5-4 dou­ble over­time win at Al­fred on Sept. 8.

A four-time mem­ber of the CSAC’s first team, Jones won the con­fer­ence’s Co-Player of the vear in 2011. He fin­ished his ca­reer with 14 goals, 25 as­sists and 53 points.

The de­fender led the Pac­ers to a 1.56 goals-against av­er­age through the sea­son and an 0.T3 dAA dur­ing con­fer­ence play. Mary­wood fin­ished with a 12-T-3 record, and was the run­ner-up in the ECAC South Re­gion tour­na­ment in Erie.
