Fire causes heavy dam­age to Tay­lorsville Road home

A smoky fire caused heavy dam­age to a home on Tay­lorsville Road early Mon­day af­ter­noon, just north of Wood­side Road.

Fire­fight­ers from the vard­ley-Makefield, Up­per Makefield, Mor­risville fire com­pa­nies and Le­vit­town Fire Com­pany #1 were dis­patched by Bucks County Fire Ra­dio at 12:11 p.m.

vard­ley-Makefield Fire Com­pany Lad­der 0 ar­rived on lo­ca­tion and fire­fight­ers went in ser­vice with mul­ti­ple hand lines, ag­gres­sively at­tack­ing the fire.

Mor­risville Fire Com­pany En­gine 98, Le­vit­town Fire Com­pany #1 Res­cue 32 (RIT), and vard­ley-Makefield Fire Com­pany En­gine 80, Tower 80, Res­cue 0, Util­ity 0 were also on lo­ca­tion and fire­fight­ers as­sisted with ex­tin­guish­ment and over­haul op­er­a­tions.

Up­per Makefield Fire Com­pany Tanker 71 ar­rived on lo­ca­tion and as­sisted with water sup­ply op­er­a­tions.

Fire Po­lice con­ducted traf­fic con­trol op­er­a­tions through­out the in­ci­dent on Tay­lorsville Road.

The fire was be­ing in­ves­ti­gated by the vMFC Fire Mar­shal’s Of­fice.
