Disorderly conduct … Two Blue Bell males, ages 15 and 16, were cited for disorderly conduct and curfew violations at 1:21 a.m. Aug. 6 after an officer saw them walking along Skippack Pike at Cathcart Road, police said. The officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from both, who were evasive and had bloodshot eyes, and both had baggies of suspected marijuana, police said. They were cited and released to their parents.
False ID … Chong Kim, 47, of the 2000 block of Bethel Road, Lansdale, was charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities, driving while license is suspended, operating a vehicle without insurance and disobedience to traffic control devices following a traffic stop at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 2, police said. Kim, who was pulled over after making an illegal left turn out of the Wawa, 1015 DeKalb Pike, identified himself as Song Un Kim, age 43, for which PennDOT had no records, and then gave officers several other dates of birth, which received the same result, police said. He was arraigned on the charges and bail was set at $1,000 unsecured and he was taken to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on a detainer from adult probation, police said.
Drug possession … Charges of possession of an illegal substance are pending against Michael Simkins, 44, of the 400 block of Warren Street, Norristown, following a traffic stop on Skippack Pike near Penllyn Pike at 9:23 a.m. Aug. 2, police said. An officer smelled burned marijuana coming from Simkins’ vehicle, which was eastbound on Skippack in front of him, and pulled him over, police said. During the stop, officers located a marijuana cigarette, additional containers of marijuana and paraphernalia, police said. Charges are pending the lab results, police said.
Disorderly conduct … John Shade, 60, of the 100 block of Walnut Lane, Ambler, was cited for disorderly conduct July 30 after he refused to pay his bill at Phil’s Tavern, 931 Butler Pike, around 8:25 p.m., police said.
Retail theft … Jamie Slobodzian, 28, of the 2900 block of Penn Square Road, East Norriton, is being cited for retail theft after she allegedly stole $140 worth of items from the Giant Food Store, 1760 DeKalb Pike, around 1:50 p.m. July 19, police said. Store security reported seeing a woman, later identified as Slobodzian through surveillance, place merchandise in bags and leave without paying, police said.
Retail theft … Michael Paul, 35, of the 400 block of Grove Street, Bridgeport, was charged with retail theft and conspiracy after he and another male allegedly stole $472.80 worth of Similac and Pampers from SuperFresh, 1301 Skippack Pike, around 1:40 p.m. July 19, police said. Paul, who was identified as one of the men, also was suspected of several similar thefts in the area and Aug. 1 Plymouth Township police took him into custody on multiple arrest warrants, including charges from Whitpain, and he was being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility, police said. While at MCCF, Paul was arraigned on the charges and bail was set at $2,500 unsecured, police said.
Truck stolen … A 2009 Black Ford F250 Super Duty truck with a crew cab and shortbed truck, PA license vWR8350, was reported stolen at 7:38 a.m. July 28 from the driveway of a home in the 1700 block of Sheffield Drive, police said. The vehicle was left unlocked and there was a spare set of keys inside the truck, which had “Panther East” displayed on the exterior in gray and white lettering, police said.
