Edythe C. Gar­rett, 81, of Gwynedd, passed away Wed­nes­day, Oct. 17, 2012, at Foulke­ways at Gwynedd. Edythe is sur­vived by her hus­band of 56 years, Daniel T. Gar­rett Sr.

Born Sept. 20, 1931, in Brook­lyn, N.Y., Edythe was the daugh­ter of the late Ralph and Cor­nelia (Buzby) Carter.

Edythe grad­u­ated from Ge­orge School and Ursi­nus Col­lege. She was a life­long nu­aker and a mem­ber of Abing­ton Friends Meet­ing, where she was a vol­un­teer and sec­re­tary for eight years. Edythe also worked as a health in­sur­ance con­sul­tant and a travel agent. Her in­ter­ests in­cluded read­ing, art, mu­sic and travel.

In ad­di­tion to her hus­band, Edythe leaves be­hind her three chil­dren, Daniel T. Gar­rett Jr. and his wife, Marybeth, of Col­legeville, Jen­nifer A. Gar­rett and her husEDQG, AQWKRQy 2UH­fiFH, RI North Wales, and Patricia G. Jur­gensen and her hus­band, Mark, of Har­leysville; and seven grand­chil­dren. Edythe was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents and brother, the late Elmer “Rusty” Carter.

Rel­a­tives and friends are in­vited to at­tend Edythe’s memo­rial ser­vice, 10 a.m. Satur­day, Oct. 27, 2012, at Gwynedd Friends Meet­ing, 1101 DeKalb Pike, North Wales, Pa.
