That brings us to the third point: building time margins into your schedule. This idea isn’t a new one, and I’m unapologetically stealing it from a former pastor, who regularly preached that it was impossible to pour love into others’ lives, as Christ followers are commanded to do, if we are constantly running from one thing to the next.
But this principle applies to everyone: If we have no margins of unscheduled time in our lives, we have no ability to be flexible when life happens (and trust me, life is always happening). That only leads to more juggling — and the feeling that our lives are completely out of whack.
