58 of Phoenix, passed away on Oc­to­ber 4, 2017. David was born on March 11, 1959, in Tempe, Ari­zona to Ray and Carolina Ybarra. Pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and brother, Ray­mond. He is sur­vived by his beloved daugh­ter, Veron­ica Castillo (Ri­cardo); his son, David Ybarra; grand­daugh­ters, Ash­lie and Kaelin; grand­son Jor­dan; and great grand­sons Ahmi and Azrah. He also leaves be­hind sis­ters Linda, Pa­tri­cia and Tina; broth­ers, Robert and Ron­nie; nieces, neph­ews, ex­tended fam­ily and many friends. David at­tended Carl Hay­den High School and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1981. Upon his dis­charge from the Navy, he worked for the United States Post Of­fice for many years. His great­est joys were his chil­dren and grand­chil­dren whom he trea­sured. David was a proud Veteran and was hon­ored to serve our coun­try with great pride. He will be re­mem­bered by his kind and gen­er­ous heart and will be greatly missed by ev­ery­one. Vis­i­ta­tion will be held Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 16, 2017 at 9:00am and funeral ser­vice at 10:00am lo­cated at Chapel of the Chimes Mor­tu­ary.
