■ Free Food Giveaway by Ray of Hope Christian Church. 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Chapel Building, 2778 Snapfinger Road, Decatur. To help combat the economic issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, free food will be distribute­d on a firstcome, first-served basis as a part of the church’s outreach ministry. Participan­ts will be able to drive up and remain in their vehicles to receive the food from Ray of Hope volunteers who will be donned with the appropriat­e personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of the public. Founded in 1986 by the Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale with four people meeting for Bible study, the church now has a membership of more than 5,000. For additional informatio­n, contact Rev.
