Sure, the euphoria may only last as long as the song — which is three minutes and change. But, hey, we’ll take it — especially this year.

Donna Summer’s “Hot Stuff” was remixed by producer DJ Kygo.

very first Grammy Award given out for best female rock vocal performance, and, roughly a quarter century later, was ranked No. 104 on Rolling Stone magazine’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list.

The original version was produced by Summer’s longtime collaborators, Pete Bellotte and Giorgio Moroder, and still sounds so powerful 40-plus years after it was recorded. But we also love this new version by Kygo, who favors the dance-floor groove over the rock edge in this remix.

“This has always been one of those songs that instantly puts me in a good mood, and I hope that this version can continue to bring joy and happiness to people who want to celebrate the legendary Donna Summer,” Kygo says.
