Disney on Ice’s Follow Your Heart will host eight performances at the Royal Farms Arena, Thursday – Sunday, October 27 – 30. In addition to Finding Dory and Inside Out, the show is a great mix of more than 60 characters, from old favorites such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Fantasia to Toy Story and Frozen. Disney on Ice would not be complete without Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, who will also make an appearance on the ice.
“One of the most magical things about Disney On Ice is the performers’ ability to authentically showcase the best qualities of Disney characters,” said Director Patty Vincent. “At our show, moms and dads are able to witness the production through the eyes of their children, allowing them to reconnect with their favorite characters and making them feel like a kid all over again.”
The storyline for Follow Your Heart allows families to join in on the deep-sea adventure as Dory, along with her friends Nemo, Marlin and Hank, embarks on a life-changing underwater excursion. It also takes the audience into Riley’s Emotions to help her find the confidence to win a hockey championship and to experience the emotional rollercoaster of growing up.
“What makes this Disney On Ice production so special is the variety of stories about self-discovery, courage and compassion,” said Executive Vice President of Feld Entertainment and Producer of Disney On Ice presents Follow Your Heart Nicole Feld. “Each element of this show was carefully planned so our fans could experience favorite Disney moments while believing in their own destiny.”
“We learn that family isn’t just who your mom and dad are, but it is also who your friends are,” said Sara Buck-Lalonde who portrays Cinderella.
She, along with Rapunzel, Ariel, Tiana, Snow White and the rest of the Disney Princesses show the audience the “power of the princesses.”
“The show is high impact and high en- ergy,” said Buck-Lalonde, who takes turns with the other princesses to perform a silks and serial act. “It features acrobatics and tricks and something for everyone. Kids of all ages love all of the dancing and singing, and their eyes light up when their favorites characters come out.”
Buck-Lalonde has been with the production company Feld Entertainment since 2010 and has also starred in Disney On Ice shows Princesses and Heroes and Let’s Celebrate! She gets to perform with her husband Sacha Lolade who literally plays
her Prince Charming. They have portrayed the royal couple for several different Disney on Ice shows.
“It’s been a really great adventure. We get to travel the world and go sightseeing together,” she said. “But the best part is without a doubt skating with the love of my life. We are looking forward to coming to Baltimore and hope that everyone will come see Disney on Ice presents Follow Your Heart.”
