Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing af­ter a woman is found dead in her Not

ting­ham home on the evening of Thurs­day, Fe­bru­ary 9.

Po­lice were dis­patched to the 3800 block of Per­ry­hurst Place in Precinct 8 around 5:07 p.m. for a med­i­cal emer­gency. Upon ar­rival they found a woman on the floor in­side the home with signs of trauma to the up­per body. She was pro­nounced de­ceased at the scene.

The woman, iden­ti­fied as 32-year-old Mayann Ati­lano Sia

son, was found by fam­ily mem­bers re­turn­ing home in the evening. A 4-year-old child was also lo­cated in­side the home, un­harmed. Po­lice say that the child did not wit­ness the at­tack.

Po­lice do not be­lieve that this was a ran­dom act but con­tinue to in­ves­ti­gate leads to de­ter­mine a mo­tive for this crime.

“We don’t be­lieve that there is a ran­dom killer out there. We do be­lieve that in one way or another, this woman was an in­tended vic­tim,” said Bal­ti­more County Of­fi­cer Jen­nifer Peach.
