Nottingham woman found dead
Police are investigating after a woman is found dead in her Not
tingham home on the evening of Thursday, February 9.
Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of Perryhurst Place in Precinct 8 around 5:07 p.m. for a medical emergency. Upon arrival they found a woman on the floor inside the home with signs of trauma to the upper body. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The woman, identified as 32-year-old Mayann Atilano Sia
son, was found by family members returning home in the evening. A 4-year-old child was also located inside the home, unharmed. Police say that the child did not witness the attack.
Police do not believe that this was a random act but continue to investigate leads to determine a motive for this crime.
“We don’t believe that there is a random killer out there. We do believe that in one way or another, this woman was an intended victim,” said Baltimore County Officer Jennifer Peach.
Anyone with information that could assist police in this investigation is asked to call 410-3072020. The police are waiting for an autopsy before determining the cause of death.
