Meet­ing on Vic­tory Villa changes to be held

The com­mit­tee charged with con­sid­er­ing bound­ary change op­tions for the Vic­tory Villa El­e­men­tary School com­mu­nity will host a pub­lic in­for­ma­tion ses­sion Wed­nes­day, March 15 at Mid­dle River Mid­dle School, 800 Mid­dle River Rd. on to share op­tions for re­vised at­ten­dance bound­aries. Meet­ing at­ten­dees will learn about the bound­ary change process, re­view data used to de­velop the op­tions, and speak di­rectly to com­mit­tee mem­bers. The op­tions for re­vised at­ten­dance ar­eas also will be shared on­line, and all mem­bers of the pub­lic are in­vited to par­tic­i­pate in an on­line sur­vey. The on­line sur­vey, available at http://www.­struc­tion/Vic­to­ryVilla/, will be­gin on Wed­nes­day, March 15, 2017, and end at mid­night on Mon­day, March 27, 2017.

Vin­cent Farm ES- 6:10 p.m. Mid­dle­sex ES- 6:25 p.m. Hawthorne ES- 6:30 p.m. Martin Blvd ES- 6:35 p.m. Ar­rive Mid­dle River MS- 6:40 p.m. With the sup­port of the Board of Edu- cation, Bal­ti­more County govern­ment, and the state del­e­ga­tion, Bal­ti­more County Pub­lic Schools is in the midst of a $1.3 bil­lion cap­i­tal plan, Schools for Our Fu­ture. This ini­tia­tive will add seats to ad­dress in­creas­ing en­roll­ment and im­prove ex­ist­ing fa­cil­i­ties.

The re­con­struc­tion of Vic­tory Villa El­e­men­tary School is un­der­way and is sched­uled to open Au­gust 2018. Since Jan­uary 11, 2017, a com­mit­tee of par­ents, com­mu­nity mem­bers, school of­fi­cials, and rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Vic­tory Villa El­e­men­tary School com­mu­nity has re­viewed a va­ri­ety of bound­ary op­tions. The com­mit­tee will use in­put from the in­for­ma­tion ses­sion and from the on­line sur­vey to help make a bound­ary change rec­om­men­da­tion to the Board of Ed­u­ca­tion on May 9, 2017.
