Se­na­tor Jim Brochin to ad­dress River­side Demo­cratic Club

State Se­na­tor James Brochin will speak to the mem­bers of the River­side Demo­cratic Club at their next reg­u­lar meet­ing on April 13, 2017. Se­na­tor Brochin will elab­o­rate on the

is­sues ad­dressed in the re­cently con­cluded ses­sion of the Mary­land Gen­eral Assem­bly. As a widely an­tic­i­pated can­di­date for Bal­ti­more County Ex­ec­u­tive, the Se­na­tor is will likely lay­out his vi­sion for the fu­ture of Bal­ti­more County. The meet­ing is open to any­one in­ter­ested in hear­ing Se­na­tor Brochin.

At the March 9, meet­ing the River­side Demo­cratic Club voted to sup­port Gover­nor Hogan’s bills to es­tab­lish a non-par­ti­san com­mis­sion to han­dle Re­dis­trict­ing in Mary­land. Let­ters of sup­port were sent to the chairs of the com­mit­tees han­dling the bills in the House of Del­e­gates and State Se­nate. The let­ters em­pha­sized the ef­fect par­ti­san re­dis­trict­ing has had on Bal­ti­more County in par­tic­u­lar.
