Del. Long salutes local business for hurricane help

The Avenue News - - POLICE -

I was proud to present Buddy McGowan of White Marsh Transport a Proclamation for helping with the donation of items to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. After the firefighters from the North Point-Edgemere Volunteer Fire Department, Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Department and Hyde Park Volunteer Fire Department collected food, water, clothing and many other items from members of the community, those items needed to be transported down to the Texas area.

I called Buddy McGowan of White Marsh Transport, and Buddy did not hesitate to jump in and help, He was happy to donate the use of a tow motor, supply pallets and a tractor trailer, we loaded the donations from all of the firehouses to Buddy’s tractor and trailer and Buddy and his wife made the long trip to Texas to help with the hurricane relief .

I am proud to have citizens in our District such as Buddy McGowan and all those who donated and the wonderful firefighters that made this all possible.
