Trea­sury Auc­tions 30-Year Bonds at In­creased Yields

The Trea­sury Depart­ment Thurs­day auc­tioned $15 bil­lion of 30-year bonds with a 2 3/4% coupon at a 2.801% high yield, a price of 98.969630.

The bid-to-cover ra­tio was 2.23. Tenders at the high yield were al­lot­ted 39.22%. The me­dian yield was 2.749%. The low yield was 2.188%.

Tenders to­taled $33,378,390,700 and the Trea­sury ac­cepted $15,000,000,700 in­clud­ing $4,884,700 non-com­pet­i­tive.

The Fed banks bought $1,823,982,000 for their own ac­count. The bonds dated Nov. 15, will ma­ture Nov. 15, 2047.
