37th Annual InVetteTational takes over fairgrounds
The Skyline Drive Corvette Club’s 37th Annual InVetteTational was held on Saturday, July 16, at the Oley Valley Fairgrounds.
Proceeds of this event go to the SDC Scholarship Fund supporting youth that continue their education in the automotive field. Three Reading area vocational school students are selected by teachers of each school, and the scholarships are given to the most deserving students. Each of the three scholarships is worth $1,000.
The car show and contest included 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophy prizes in 6 classic car categories, and 7 corvette categories, as well as “Best of Show” for the best car in all categories with over 150 cars entered.
The fun filled events included a Chinese auction, door prizes, and a raffle for a wheelbarrow full of Cheer (over 100 bottles). Entertainment was provided by Mixed Rhythms Entertainment (610-750-2248) and all food by the Oley Valley Fire Company.
