‘Step Back in Time Day’
Turn back the hands of time and travel from the colonial era, to the canal and Civil War era, to life on a 20th century farm, at Step Back in Time Day on Sunday, July 31 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Berks County Heritage Center. Everything from sports to music will have you on a journey through the past.
Join Tom Melville, historian and cricket player, for an early American-style game, and Ken Reinard for Colonial Fly Fishing. Listen to traditional music of the times with a variety of performers. The Amity Colonial Dancers will perform and present a fashion show of clothes from different eras. Throughout the day there will be tours of our museums, hands on crafts, wool dying, old time laundry, a dog powered tread mill, native animal species of PA talk and a civil war living history encampment. Join us for a day activities to learn about what life was like in a different era.
