Wal­lace ‘Wally’ C. Musser, 87

Wal­lace “Wally” C. Musser, 87, for­merly of Bally, hus­band of Elaine (Hef­fley) Musser, passed away Thurs­day, De­cem­ber 22, 2016 at the Le­high Val­ley Hospi­tal – Cedar Crest.

Born in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Eg­bert G. and Vir­ginia F. (Car­ney) Musser.

Wally served in the US Army dur­ing the Korean Con­flict and trained scout dogs in Ger­many. He worked for 35 years for the Boy­er­town Area School District as a Bi­ol­ogy Teacher. Wally was a mem­ber of Shep­herd of the Hills Church in Sas­samansville, and the Bally Rod & Gun Club, where he taught hunter safety cour­ses for 45 years. He was an avid out­doors­man, find­ing a par­tic­u­lar affin­ity for white­tail deer. He also worked as a writer for the Pottstown Mer­cury and the Boy­er­town Times un­der the pseu­do­nyms Un­cle Stumpy and Out­door Snooper.

Sur­viv­ing along with his wife is one son Clint W. Musser of Read­ing; two daugh­ters Diane Rei­de­nauer wife of Matthew of Boy­er­town, and Sharon MacMinn wife of Thomas of Boy­er­town; five grand­chil­dren Katie Rei­de­nauer, Kevin MacMinn, Jake Rei­de­nauer, Trevor MacMinn, and Alexa Rei­de­nauer; and one brother E. Glenn Musser.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice will be held Thurs­day, Jan­uary 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Shep­herd of the Hills Church, 527 Hoff­mansville Rd., Bech­telsville, PA 19505. Visi­ta­tion will be held Thurs­day from 10:00-10:45 AM at the church. In­ter­ment will be pri­vate.
