Wallace ‘Wally’ C. Musser, 87

Wallace “Wally” C. Musser, 87, formerly of Bally, husband of Elaine (Heffley) Musser, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.

Born in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Egbert G. and Virginia F. (Carney) Musser.

Wally served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and trained scout dogs in Germany. He worked for 35 years for the Boyertown Area School District as a Biology Teacher. Wally was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Church in Sassamansville, and the Bally Rod & Gun Club, where he taught hunter safety courses for 45 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding a particular affinity for whitetail deer. He also worked as a writer for the Pottstown Mercury and the Boyertown Times under the pseudonyms Uncle Stumpy and Outdoor Snooper.

Surviving along with his wife is one son Clint W. Musser of Reading; two daughters Diane Reidenauer wife of Matthew of Boyertown, and Sharon MacMinn wife of Thomas of Boyertown; five grandchildren Katie Reidenauer, Kevin MacMinn, Jake Reidenauer, Trevor MacMinn, and Alexa Reidenauer; and one brother E. Glenn Musser.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 527 Hoffmansville Rd., Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the church. Interment will be private.
