Do you need to refresh your driving skills? Chestnut Knoll At Home and AARP are here to help! Chestnut Knoll At Home, Gilbertsvi­lle, will hold an AARP Safe Driver Refresher Course on Tuesday, Jan. 17 from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at the office, located at 1041 E. Philadelph­ia Ave., Gilbertsvi­lle.

The course is designed to help seniors sharpen their driving skills and knowledge of road rules and hazards, learn how to adjust driving due to agerelated physical changes, and reduce chances of receiving traffic violations or getting into an accident.

Learn how to maintain a proper following distance, the safest way to change lanes, effects of medication­s on driving, and more.

Successful completion can result in discounts on car insurance (contact your insurance agent for details). The course is available to drivers aged 55 years and older.

The cost of the course for AARP members, with proof of membership, is $15 per person. The cost for non-members is $20 per person. All participan­ts must bring their AARP membership card (if applicable) and valid driver’s license.
