Clay on Main will of­fer a Felt­ing Ba­sics Work­shop on Satur­day, Feb. 25, from 10 p.m. to 1 p.m. Artist San­dra Brit­land will teach the ba­sics of felt­ing.

Three tech­niques will be taught: nee­dle felt­ing, wet felt­ing, and cre­at­ing items us­ing felted fabrics. No prior felt­ing ex­pe­ri­ence is nec­es­sary - all skill lev­els are wel­come. Tools and ma­te­ri­als will be pro­vided.

We are pleased to have San­dra share her knowl­edge and artis­tic skills of felt­ing in this work­shop. Take home a small project you will make us­ing the tech­niques you learn. The work­shop fee is $50 with an ad­di­tional $5 ma­te­rial fee. Work­shop size is lim­ited.

Clay on Main is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit artists’ co­op­er­a­tive, lo­cated at 313 Main St in the his­toric vil­lage of Oley. The stu­dio of­fers, classes, work­shops, and gallery space for lo­cal artists. Clay on Main houses a com­plete clay stu­dio, fused and stained glass stu­dio, an en­caus­tic stu­dio, and a pho­to­graphic dark­room. The Gallery hours are 1 p.m.to 4 p.m. on Sun­days, or by ap­point­ment. The stu­dio can be con­tacted at 610-987-0273.
