Homes, cars bur­glar­ized while vic­tims were sleep­ing

Sev­eral overnight bur­glar­ies were re­ported in Ruscombmanor Town­ship on Feb. 6. Vic­tims were asleep while some­one en­tered their homes and ve­hi­cles to take money.

State Po­lice Read­ing re­port that a Ruscombmanor Town­ship cou­ple, ages 44 and 43, awoke on Feb. 6 at 5:50 a.m. to find that some­time dur­ing the night some­one had en­tered their home on Ron­ald Glenn Av­enue while they were sleep­ing. Money was found miss­ing from a purse and wal­let. A ve­hi­cle, which was parked in their garage, was also en­tered and money was taken.

At a home in Ruscombmanor

Town­ship on Sandhill Road, po­lice re­port that two women, ages 55 and 18, awoke on Feb. 6 at 5:15 a.m. to find that some­time dur­ing the night some­one had en­tered their home while they were sleep­ing. Their purses were miss­ing from the house. The purses were later found out­side but money was miss­ing from them.

Also, a Ruscombmanor Town­ship cou­ple, ages 37 and 36, awoke on Feb. 6 at 6:50 a.m. to find that some­time dur­ing the night, some­one had en­tered their ve­hi­cles parked on Sandhill Road. Money had been taken.

State Po­lice Read­ing also re­ported a home bur­glary on Feb. 7 on Tre­ich­ler Road, Dis­trict Town­ship, oc­curred some­time dur­ing the night. Some­one forced en­try into the home through a bed­room win­dow of the res­i­dence, then re­moved jew­elry from the bed­room and fled the scene in an un­known di­rec­tion. A ma­roon sedan of un­known make and model may be in­volved.
