Community Fun Day: To be held from 2-6 p.m. Oley Valley Mennonite Church ,located at 1571 Memorial Highway Oley ,will host Oley Valley Community Fun Day. Bring your antique tractors, cars, and garden tractors. We will also have a bounce house, barrel train rides, crafts, a kiddie tractor pull at 3:45 p.m. and plenty of delicious food and baked goods. Yip & Dip Dog Swim: To be held from 1-4p.m. at The Boyertown Community Pool, 417 S. Madison Street. The entire pool and splash pad will be open for dogs and owners willing to take the plunge. There will be contests, prizes an agility course and off-leash area, toenail trims, refreshments and more. $10 donation per dog, $25 max per household. Proceeds will be used for improvements to the Boyertown Community Pool. Sept. 14 Chicken Chat - The Human/ Chicken Relationship: To be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Exeter Community Library, 4569 Prestwick Drive, Reading. 10th annual Oktoberfest: The event will kick off Friday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. offering a variety of beers for every palette. Wines from the local area and beyond will also be offered. An assortment of food vendors will be on site to satisfy every person’s taste. The event will continue on Saturday, Sept. 16 starting at 11 a.m. with family friendly entertainment, beverages, food, craft vendors, and children activities. The event will finally wind down at 9 p.m. Saturday night. Sept. 16 Breakfast: Bally Mennonite Church, Route 100 in Bally, will be serving a Pancake breakfast, including pancakes, French toast, sausage, scrapple, OJ, tea, & coffee in the Church Fellowship hall from 7:00 - 11:00 AM.
