DURYEA DAY ROLLS IN FOR 52ND YEAR

The Boyertown Mu­seum of His­toric Ve­hi­cles and the Pottstown Re­gion AACA held the 52nd An­nual Duryea Day An­tique and Clas­sic Car & Truck & Mo­tor­cy­cle show and Flea Mar­ket at Boyertown Com­mu­nity Park on Satur­day, Sept. 2.

For Joe Klau­men­zer, at­tend­ing Duryea Day with his 1956 DeSoto Fire­dome is “not just about cars; it’s about a time that we all lived…. mem­o­ries” Klau­men­zer dis­plays his DeSoto with a BIG PIXEY DRIVE-IN menu com­plete with a Carhop Win­dow Food Tray or­der.

Frank Kemp (right) awards John Posen (left), of Norristown, Duryea Day’s largest tro­phy the Beatrice Lan­dis Memo­rial Award for Posen’s 1953 Ford Coun­try Sedan Sta­tion Wagon. Ge­orge Hern spon­sors the tro­phy in mem­ory of his step­mother, Beatrice Lan­dis. Each year, the prize is given to a Stock Ve­hi­cle that Beatrice La­nis would have en­joyed driv­ing.
