Sat­is­fac­tion goes along way! Just ask the em­ploy­ees of Chest­nut Knoll Per­sonal Care and Mem­ory Care, and At Home Ser­vices. In ap­pre­ci­a­tion of their ded­i­ca­tion and hard work, Chest­nut Knoll cel­e­brated the an­nual Pres­i­dent’s Club lun­cheon for 26 em­ploy­ees on Oct. 25 held at the Yel­low House Ho­tel in Dou­glassville.

Re­cently, Chest­nut Knoll Per­sonal Care and Mem­ory Care, lo­cated in Boy­er­town cel­e­brated 17 years of ser­vice to its res­i­dents and sur­round­ing com­mu­nity on Sept. 18. Many em­ploy­ees cel­e­brated their longevity within the se­nior liv­ing com­mu­nity that same evening. The Pres­i­dent’s Club lun­cheon is an op­por­tu­nity for Chest­nut Knoll and At Home, to honor the groups’ con­tin­ued ded­i­ca­tion of ex­cep­tional ser­vice, from up­per man­age­ment roles, di­rect res­i­dent and client con­tact to meal prepa­ra­tion and din­ing ser­vices. Each per­son plays a vi­tal role in the suc­cess of the se­nior liv­ing com­mu­nity, and home care ser­vices.

An em­ployee’s longevity builds rap­port among res­i­dents, clients, vis­i­tors, guests, and co-work­ers. The long-stand­ing em­ploy­ees are a tes­ta­ment to the struc­ture and or­ga­ni­za­tion of Chest­nut Knoll and At Home. Con­sis­tency and sta­bil­ity within the se­nior com­mu­nity of­fers com­fort to fam­i­lies know­ing their loved ones are re­ceiv­ing the proper care they de­serve.

In ad­di­tion to rec­og­niz­ing her col­leagues, Shawn Barndt, ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor, was rec­og­nized for her longevity and ded­i­cated ser­vice to Chest­nut Knoll. “It has been an honor for me to have been a part of Chest­nut Knoll from the in­cep­tion 17 years ago,” Barndt said. “It is also very hum­bling to be sur­rounded by such a great team of com­mit­ted staff who have also been a part of many of those 17 years!

The Pres­i­dent’s Club was cre­ated to honor Chest­nut Knoll Per­sonal Care, Mem­ory Care, and At Home em­ploy­ees who have con­tin­ued to ded­i­cate them­selves to the se­nior com­mu­nity for 11 or more years.

Mem­bers of the club en­joyed the lun­cheon with Barndt and David Lovitz, man­ag­ing part­ner of Her­itage Se­nior Liv­ing, which is the man­age­ment com­pany of Chest­nut Knoll Per­sonal Care and Mem­ory Care, and At Home Ser­vices. Em­ploy­ees who reach 10 years of ser­vice re­ceive a watch of their choice pur­chased at EG Lan­dis Jeweler in Boy­er­town.

“It takes a car­ing staff who are ded­i­cated to our res­i­dents, clients, fam­ily mem­bers, and greater com­mu­nity in or­der to be suc­cess­ful; I am proud to say that at Chest­nut Knoll we are blessed to have that,” Barndt said. “The Pres­i­dent’s club lun­cheon is just one small way to show our ap­pre­ci­a­tion and thank those who have given so much of them­selves in the best in­ter­est of oth­ers!”
