Huff’s Union Church 540 CON­RAD RD., ALBURTIS

Huff’s Church Hoe Down, 540 Con­rad Rd., Alburtis, Here­ford Town­ship, Satur­day, April 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Paul Adam, call­ing with the Days of Old Band play­ing. No charge with free drinks and snacks. In­vite friends and fam­ily and mem­bers of the com­mu­nity for a good, fun crowd. Never tried square danc­ing be­fore or in a while, don’t worry about not know­ing what to do. It’s all about the mov­ing and hav­ing fun to­gether. No part­ner, don’t worry, there are of­ten sin­gles look­ing for some­one to part­ner with to fill a square.

Join us for the 8:30 Sun­day morn­ing Bi­ble Study at 8:30. The dis­cus­sions are in­ter­est­ing.

Then, join us at 9:30 a.m. for wor­ship. This is the third Sun­day of Easter, which fo­cuses on the risen Christ shar­ing food with the dis­ci­ples – meals that are the Easter tem­plate for the meal we share each Lord’s day. The Se­nior Choir will sing, “Sing we a Joy­ful Song,” by Carneghi.

The J.A.M. (Je­sus and Me) class will meet at 9:30 on Sun­day, with the theme of the les­son be­ing “The Great Com­mis­sion.”

Fol­low­ing the ser­vice, all are in­vited to Me­mo­rial Hall for Cre­ative Card Mak­ing. The cards made will be sent to the home­bound, used for thank you notes, and many more.

Mon­day is the date to have May news­let­ter ar­ti­cles sub­mit­ted.

On Tues­day, the Cherub Choir will re­hearse at 6:30, and Wor­ship and Mu­sic Com­mit­tee will meet at 7 p.m.

Wed­nes­day morn­ing is the day of our monthly Sr. Break­fast Group meet­ing. Join us at Sav­ille’s Diner for an 8 a.m. meet­ing of fun, food, and fel­low­ship.

The Com­mu­nity Cloth­ing Rack will be open for dis­tri­bu­tion on Wed­nes­day, from 1-4 p.m. Please come out and sup­port this im­por­tant com­mu­nity min­istry.

Wor­ship with us on the Third Sun­day of Easter on April 15, at our wor­ship ser­vices at 7:45 and 10:15 a.m. Pas­tor Matt Ol­likainen will lead the con­gre­ga­tion in wor­ship, present the ser­mon, as well as the Chil­dren’s Ser­mon at both ser­vices. Con­fir­ma­tion Class will be held at 9 a.m. in room I. The Edu-Wor­ship ser­vice will be held at 9 a.m. in the par­lor. Those min­is­ter­ing at the 7:45 a.m. ser­vice are Acolyte; Jonathan Lewis, Lec­tor; Sue Hoff­man, and Greeters/Ush­ers; Sue and Nor­man Hoff­man. Those min­is­ter­ing at the 10:15 a.m. ser­vice are: Acolyte; Ben Deery, Lec­tor; Kathy Bit­tner, and Greeters/ Ush­ers; Brian and Ch­eryl Barr.

Church Coun­cil will meet on April 17 at 7 p.m. in the par­lor. The Bell Choir will re­hearse on April 18 at 6:30 p.m. fol­lowed by the Se­nior Choir re­hears­ing at 7:30 p.m. The Ju­nior/Cadette Girl Scout troops will meet on April 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the so­cial hall. Then at 7 p.m. on Thurs­day evening, God on Tap will be held at the Bally Ho­tel on Main Street in Bally.
