Par in the park - Disc Golf Tour­na­ment ben­e­fit­ing the Boyertown Com­mu­nity

Li­brary to take place at Boyertown Com­mu­nity Park on Sept. 22.

For the sec­ond year Phat Cat Na­tion will be host­ing a com­mu­nity disc golf tour­na­ment at the Boyertown Com­mu­nity Park. All money raised will ben­e­fit the Boyertown Com­mu­nity Li­brary. The event is open to the pub­lic; spec­ta­tors as well as par­tic­i­pants are wel­come.

The day prom­ises to be a fun event and is open to all lev­els from the novice player to the die hard golfer. There will be raf­fle prizes and door prizes which have all been do­nated by lo­cal busi­nesses and in­di­vid­u­als. The day will tee off around 9 a.m. (reg­is­tra­tion 8 a.m.) but early birds will be wel­comed with coffee, donuts, and a bake sale or­ga­nized by the fundrais­ing com­mit­tee of the Boyertown Com­mu­nity Li­brary. Lunch is also be­ing pro­vided for a $5 fee. New this year will be a glow round to be­gin at ap­prox­i­mately 8:30 p.m., with reg­is­tra­tion begin­ning at 7:30 p.m.

Phat Cat Na­tion is a lo­cal disc golf group with over 650 mem­bers. Many of them will be on hand dur­ing the day to help any new golfers. Last year’s event en­abled the­li­brary to con­tinue to make im­prove­ments to their new build­ing as well as con­tinue to of­fer great pro­gram­ming for all ages.
