Our 8:30 a.m. Bible Study will be held Sunday. We will meet to explore the lectionary readings of the day. Join us at 9:30a.m. on Sunday for worship. Sunday is Veterans Day, and we will observe it during the service. Communion will be celebrated. The Sr. Choir will sing, “The Mansions of the Lord,” by Wallace/ Glennie-Smith. JAM (Jesus and Me) class – The participan­ts will sit with their families in church until after “Time for the Children.” Then, they will go to JAM Class, and return for a blessing or communion. Worship with us on 25th Sunday after Pentecost on Nov. 11 at our one worship service at 9 a.m. Bridge Pastor, Pr. David Penman, will be leading the congregati­on in the worship service, preach the morning sermon, as well as present the Children’s Sermon. The Blessing of the Prayer Shawls and Quilts will be held during the service. Confirmati­on will be held at 9 a.m. in room I. Those ministerin­g at the 9 a.m. service are Acolyte; Jonathan Lewis, Lector; Kelly Shade, and Greeters/Ushers; Kelly and Catherine Shade. Immediatel­y following the worship service, the semi-annual Congregati­onal Meeting will be held to vote on the 2019 Council, approve the 2019 Budget as well as vote on the service time change. If you are a voting member, please plan on attending to cast your vote. On Nov. 13, the December Niantic News articles are due into the church office and then at 7:30 p.m. that evening, the Finance committee will meet in room B. There will be no CLC Choirs on Nov. 14, but those who want to participat­e in the Joint Thanksgivi­ng Eve Choir please come to Trinity Lutheran, Bechtelsvi­lle at 7 p.m. for rehearsal. Members will join Calvary UCC members as well as Bally Mennonite and the surroundin­g community for a Keystone-Miller Blood Drive on Nov. 15 from 2:30 – 7:30 p.m. Later that evening at 6:30 p.m., the Junior/ Cadette Girl Scout troop will meet in the social hall.
