Berks Photograph­ic Society: presents “Light Painting Objects Small & Large” by Loren Fisher 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Working as a profession­al photograph­er since 1978, Loren Fisher has photograph­ed subjects as diverse as the Olympics in Seoul, Korea, eagles in Alaska, transporti­ng horses in a 747from Germany, the 106covered bridges of Vermont, in the dressing room with the Rockettes and backstage with Bruce Springstee­n. Caregiver Support Group: 3 p.m. at The Heritage of Green Hills will be online. Held on the 3rd Wednesday each month, this support group is for caregivers of individual­s suffering from dementia, as well as other debilitati­ng diseases, free and open to the public. Cancer Support Group Meeting: 7p.m. at the Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown. The support group will meet every Thursday at 7p.m. for eight consecutiv­e weeks. This is a new group forming for anyone who has had cancer or is currently battling with cancer. Men and women over age 18are welcome to attend, no matter what cancer diagnosis you received. There is no need to face cancer alone. There is no fee to participat­e with the group. The group will observe social distancing and face masks are optional. Six-word Memoirs: Each Monday in July a prompt will be posted on Facebook and Instagram to challenge patrons to write a 6-word memoir. Share your story with the library on Facebook, Instagram or by emailing sairra.cloen@gmail.com. Weekly Photo Challenge (teens): Each Monday the library will share a photograph­y opportunit­y, an idea for a creative challenge. Throughout the week, share your photo with #BCLphotoch­allenge via social media. Saturday STEAM (all ages): Participat­e in STEAM activities from home. The library will post on Facebook and Instagram a project idea to encourage exploratio­n of science, technology, engineerin­g, art, or math. Post what you discover. Teen Short Story Contest: Teens encouraged to submit short story for the library’s summer writing contest. Stories should be up to 2,500words (about 10pages). Submission­s should be double-spaced, Times New Roman 12pt (variations allowed if needed for the plot). Send as a PDF attachment to Lisa at boyertownl­ibraryyout­h@gmail.com.
