Palumbo on na­tional team

of Wil­liamsville won all seven of his round-robin matches in re­curve open men’s shoot­ing to earn one of the two top spots on the na­tional team at the World Archery Para Cham­pi­onships U.S. Team Tri­als in Salt Lake City. Also earn­ing re­curve open places were of Salt Lake City and of Lakewood, Colo., who rep­re­sented the U.S. at the World Para Alpine Ski­ing Cham­pi­onships and picked up archery only two years ago.

The team will com­pete in the World meet in Bei­jing, China on Sept. 12-17.

“We have an in­cred­i­bly strong team right now,” said head coach of the na­tional para team. “They have been here work­ing hard for a week al­ready, train­ing and grow­ing as a sup­port­ive fam­ily. We are go­ing to con­tinue that hard work and I am very proud to bring this team to China to rep­re­sent Team USA.”
