Joshua Costolnick of St. Joe’s is going to the 2017 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Fla. as part of the Northeastern Regional All-Star team.
Costolnick was selected from among 900 high school rowers for this event. He made it through the first round of selection and was asked to attend the final round in Saratoga Springs. After two days he ws named to the team.
The 19-rower Northeastern team will compete against five other Under-19 teams in the Youth Regional Challenge in Sarasota on Sept. 23-24. It will be held during the World Championships at Nathan Benderson Park. They will be competing in eights, quadruple sculls for both men and women.
