Darrell E. Dixon, who was caught while burglarizing a North Tonawanda home Aug. 26, was sentenced Tuesday to 3½ to seven years in prison.

State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. imposed the maximum sentence available on Dixon, 46, of North Street, Buffalo who didn’t wait to be indicted before pleading guilty to third-degree burglary.

Break-ins are nothing new for Dixon, who has been to state prison twice before for Erie County burglaries. He served four years for a 1994 conviction and seven years for a 2001 conviction.
