Ar­rests made for al­leged drug vi­o­la­tions

While pro­cess­ing Am­ber Ste­wart, 26, of Cal­loway at the Calvert County De­ten­tion Cen­ter Sept. 5, au­thor­i­ties al­legedly found para­pher­na­lia on her per­son. Deputy Jef­frey Hardesty was no­ti­fied and Ste­wart was charged with pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance para­pher­na­lia.

On Sept. 8, Deputy Joseph Migliaccio re­sponded to a res­i­dence on Fourth Street in North Beach to check the wel­fare of some­one. Migliaccio made con­tact with Matthew Hutchin­son, 27, of North Beach and al­legedly lo­cated drug para­pher­na­lia and heroin within the res­i­dence. Hutchin­son was ar­rested and charged with pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance—not marijuana and pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance para­pher­na­lia.

Deputy Ti­mothy Mohler con­ducted a traf­fic stop at Prince Fred­er­ick Boule­vard and West Dares Beach Road in Prince Fred­er­ick Sept. 8. Mohler re­quested the driver, James John­son Jr., 28, of Me­chan­icsville, per­form stan­dard­ized field so­bri­ety tests af­ter speak­ing with him. A search of John­son and his ve­hi­cle re­port­edly re­vealed crack co­caine and drug para­pher­na­lia. John­son was charged with pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance ad­min­is­ter­ing equip­ment, pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance—not marijuana and pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance para­pher­na­lia.

Af­ter con­duct­ing a traf­fic stop at Cross Point Drive and Wild Fire Lane in Owings on Sept. 9, Deputy Kirk Wil­liamson asked the driver to per­form stan­dard­ized field so­bri­ety tests. A K9 ar­rived on the scene and scanned the ve­hi­cle, elic­it­ing a pos­i­tive alert for pos­si­ble con­tra­band. Wil­liamson searched the ve­hi­cle and re­port­edly found drug para­pher­na­lia. Joshua Webb, 37, of Owings was trans­ported to the de­ten­tion cen­ter where a more thor­ough search was con­ducted and crack co­caine was al­legedly lo­cated. Webb was charged with pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance, pos­ses­sion of con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance para­pher­na­lia, pos­sess of re­ceive con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance while con­fined and pos­ses­sion of con­tra­band in a place of con­fine­ment.
