While waiting in jail for his hearing on a drug-related matter, a 30-year-old man has been indicted for allegedly threatening to take a prosecutor’s life and defacing cell walls and doors at the Calvert County Detention Center.

Indicted by a grand jury Sept. 17, Tyson Wayne Black, whose address is not listed in online court records, was charged with intimidat- ing Lisa Ridge, senior assistant state’s attorney, who prosecuted a case where

Black was accused of possessing narcotic drugs with intent to distribute and conspiring to distribute narcotic drugs. Black is also charged with malicious destruction of property for allegedly destroying cell walls at the detention center in August.

Black was first arrested May 8 after police found his phone reportedly exchanging text messages with someone who died from an opioid overdose. The texts sent from the phone number associated with Black suggested he was distributing heroin and cocaine, according to court documents. Also, police said the overdose victim was last seen getting into a white Acura passenger

car that belonged to Black’s girlfriend, Reina Milagro Andujar, 27, of Chesapeake Beach.

When the couple were stopped by police at a traffic stop in Chesapeake Beach, officers reportedly found five small bags containing suspected heroin and cocaine in

Andujar’s underwear.

For both matters, Black’s next conference status hearing is set for Oct. 12 in circuit court. Andujar’s conference hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24. Prosecutors brought the same charges against her as they did with Black in the drug matter.

Black is now housed at a Hagerstown correctional facility.
