High­way ad­min­is­tra­tion of­fers vests for Hal­loween

Once again, the Mary­land Depart­ment of Trans­porta­tion’s State High­way Ad­min­is­tra­tion an­nounces its an­nual Vests for Vis­i­bil­ity pro- gram, in which the agency lends re­flec­tive vests to chil­dren and their chap­er­ones for Hal­loween trickor-treat­ing.

Par­ents can pick up vests be­tween Mon­day, Oct. 29, through Wed­nes­day, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. un­til 4 p.m. at the Prince Fred­er­ick SHA main­te­nance shop at 100 Hal­low­ing Point Road. The re­flec­tive vests will be is­sued on a first-come, first­served ba­sis and need to be re­turned by Fri­day, Nov. 2, a press re­lease states.

SHA also asks both driv­ers and pedes­tri­ans to use cau­tion, par­tic­u­larly dur­ing peak trick-or-treat­ing hours of 4 through 9 p.m.
