The dead­line to re­quest a 2018 Gu­ber­na­to­rial Gen­eral Elec­tion ab­sen­tee bal­lot for mail de­liv­ery is Tues­day, Oct. 30. The dead­line to re­quest an ab­sen­tee bal­lot for the gen­eral elec­tion for in­ter­net de­liv­ery is Fri­day, Nov.

2. Any reg­is­tered voter in Mary­land may re­quest and vote by ab­sen­tee bal­lot.

Vot­ers may re­quest an ab­sen­tee bal­lot in writ­ing, or in per­son at the Calvert County Board of Elections.

Vot­ers with a Mary­land driver’s li­cense or MVA-is­sued ID card may re­quest a bal­lot by ap­ply­ing on­line. To re­quest an ab­sen­tee bal­lot ap­pli­ca­tion from the Board of Elections, call 410-535-2214 or visit the of­fice at 30 Duke St., lower level, in Prince Fred­er­ick from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Vot­ers may also visit elections. mary­land. gov/vot­ing/ab­sen­tee.html to re­quest an ab­sen­tee bal­lot on­line, to print an ap­pli­ca­tion or for more in­for­ma­tion.

If a voter wishes to re­ceive an ab­sen­tee bal­lot by mail, the Calvert County Board of Elections must re­ceive a com­pleted ab­sen­tee bal­lot ap­pli­ca­tion via mail by 8 p.m. Tues­day, Oct. 30. If the re­quest is sub­mit­ted on­line or by email or fax, the Board of Elections must re­ceive it by 11:59 p.m. Tues­day, Oct. 30.

If a voter wishes to re­ceive an ab­sen­tee bal­lot by in­ter­net de­liv­ery, the Board of Elections must re­ceive a com­pleted ab­sen­tee bal­lot ap­pli­ca­tion via mail by 5 p.m. Fri­day, Nov.

2. If the re­quest is sub­mit­ted on­line or by email or fax, it must be re­ceived by 11:59 p.m. Fri­day, Nov. 2.

If a voter misses the ap­pli­ca­ble dead­line, the ab­sen­tee bal­lot re­quest must be de­liv­ered in per­son at the Board of Elections of­fice.

The 2018 Gu­ber­na­to­rial Gen­eral Elec­tion will be held Tues­day, Nov. 6. On­go­ing now through Thurs­day, Nov. 1, vot­ers may vote in per­son be­tween 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the des­ig­nated early vot­ing cen­ter in Calvert — the Elec­tion Board on Duke Street.
