Roy Rogers to host a Dress Like a Cow­boy Day

In cel­e­bra­tion of Roy Rogers’ birth­day Nov. 5, din­ers are in­vited to par­tic­i­pate in “Dress Like a Cow­boy Day.” Those who come dressed as a cow­boy will re­ceive one free Texas Pete spice chicken sand­wich. The limit is one per cus­tomer and they must order in­side the store, a press re­lease states. Din­ers are en­cour­aged to share their photos on so­cial me­dia us­ing the hash­tag #DressLikeACow­boy.

Round Room LLC, the na­tion’s largest Ver­i­zon au­tho­rized wire­less re­tailer, an­nounced it will rec­og­nize vet­er­ans at more than 550 of its TCC stores in honor of Vet­er­ans Day.

On Sun­day, Nov. 11, each par­tic­i­pat­ing TCC lo­ca­tion will host a Vet­er­ans Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Event, dis­tribut­ing ser­vice pins and rec­og­niz­ing each veteran for their ser­vice. TCC will open its doors 30 min­utes early to ser­vice only vet­er­ans and their fam­i­lies. Em­ploy­ees will be on site an­swer­ing ques­tions about ser­vice con­tracts and iden­ti­fy­ing qual­i­fy­ing pro­mo­tions, as well as sign­ing up ac­tive ser­vice mem­bers for mil­i­tary dis­counts, a press re­lease states.

The TCC stores of Dunkirk and Lusby are par­tic­i­pat­ing.

TCC also en­cour­ages qual­i­fied ac­tive and veteran mil­i­tary mem­bers and their spouses to ex­plore ca­reer op­por­tu­ni­ties with the com­pany. With lo­ca­tions in 39 states, TCC works to trans­fer em­ployed mil­i­tary mem­bers or their spouses to a new TCC lo­ca­tion if they have to move, the re­lease states. The Calvert County Cham­ber of Com­merce Women to Women net­work­ing group will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wed­nes­day, Nov. 14, at the Hol­i­day Inn in Prince Fred­er­ick. The event is free for cham­ber mem­bers, $10 for non­mem­bers. Bring a lunch or order a lunch for $13 from Ruddy Duck Brew­ery & Grill. On Sun­day, Nov. 25, for the sec­ond year in a row, more than 700 mu­seum stores rep­re­sent­ing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 10 coun­tries and three con­ti­nents will of­fer in­spired shop­ping at mu­se­ums and cul­tural in­sti­tu­tions. The Mu­seum Store at the Calvert Marine Mu­seum will par­tic­i­pate in Mu­seum Store Sun­day (#mu­se­um­store­sun­day) ini­tia­tive from 10:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The Mu­seum Store will of­fer all shop­pers 25 per­cent off their en­tire pur­chase (some ex­clu­sions may ap­ply), a press re­lease states. Ad­di­tion­ally, CMM mem­bers can draw a mys­tery coupon at check­out and save 25 to 40 per­cent. One lucky CMM mem­ber may get their en­tire pur­chase for free. Each pur­chase sup­ports the mis­sion and pro­grams of the Calvert Marine Mu­seum.
