TCC stores to honor service men, women
Roy Rogers to host a Dress Like a Cowboy Day
In celebration of Roy Rogers’ birthday Nov. 5, diners are invited to participate in “Dress Like a Cowboy Day.” Those who come dressed as a cowboy will receive one free Texas Pete spice chicken sandwich. The limit is one per customer and they must order inside the store, a press release states. Diners are encouraged to share their photos on social media using the hashtag #DressLikeACowboy.
Round Room LLC, the nation’s largest Verizon authorized wireless retailer, announced it will recognize veterans at more than 550 of its TCC stores in honor of Veterans Day.
On Sunday, Nov. 11, each participating TCC location will host a Veterans Appreciation Event, distributing service pins and recognizing each veteran for their service. TCC will open its doors 30 minutes early to service only veterans and their families. Employees will be on site answering questions about service contracts and identifying qualifying promotions, as well as signing up active service members for military discounts, a press release states.
The TCC stores of Dunkirk and Lusby are participating.
TCC also encourages qualified active and veteran military members and their spouses to explore career opportunities with the company. With locations in 39 states, TCC works to transfer employed military members or their spouses to a new TCC location if they have to move, the release states. The Calvert County Chamber of Commerce Women to Women networking group will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Holiday Inn in Prince Frederick. The event is free for chamber members, $10 for nonmembers. Bring a lunch or order a lunch for $13 from Ruddy Duck Brewery & Grill. On Sunday, Nov. 25, for the second year in a row, more than 700 museum stores representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 10 countries and three continents will offer inspired shopping at museums and cultural institutions. The Museum Store at the Calvert Marine Museum will participate in Museum Store Sunday (#museumstoresunday) initiative from 10:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The Museum Store will offer all shoppers 25 percent off their entire purchase (some exclusions may apply), a press release states. Additionally, CMM members can draw a mystery coupon at checkout and save 25 to 40 percent. One lucky CMM member may get their entire purchase for free. Each purchase supports the mission and programs of the Calvert Marine Museum.
“We will showcase an incredible assortment of unique gifts inspired by the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. Through partnerships with our vendors, we have developed many exclusive items that are sure to delight that someone special on your holiday list,” Maureen Baughman, director of retail operations for CMM, said in the release.
