Mr. Holloway was born Sept. 25, 1963, in Marion County.
He served his country in the Army from 1980 to1983. He enjoyed listening to country music and watching western movies.
He is preceded in death by his father, John W. Holloway; grandparents, Hester and William Holloway and Alex and Rose Kilgore.
Survivors include: His daughter, Sydney Holloway; mother, Doris Tapley; stepmother, Carolyn Holloway; sister, Angela (Steve) Ridings; nieces and nephews, Whitney (Richard) Sailors, Zack Galloway, Destiny and Austin McDaniel; two great-nieces, one greatnephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside service: Wednesday, Oct. 19, 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Stanley Ray Wright
Stanley Ray Wright, our Marine warrior, fought his last fight Monday, Oct. 17, 2016.
He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U. S. Marine Corps. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Ooh Rah!
Stanley lived his whole life in the North Georgia area. He loved camping, hiking and hunting, but most of all, his Auburn TigersWar Eagle! He was a man of few words, but had a deep heart. He spoke with honesty and wisdom, and was known to be a hard worker who cared deeply about his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Homer E. and Irene C. Wright.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 45 years, Janice Blevins Wright; three daughters, Kristi (Jeff) Caissie, Kellie (Jason) McLeod and Karen (Darrel) Cross; five beautiful granddaughters that were the apple of his eye, Alisha Caissie, Auburn Pritchett, Kennedee Cross, Kyleigh Cross and Willow McLeod; two brothers, Eddie (Sandra) Wright and Larry (Donna) Wright; three sisters-in-law, Jane Young, Julia Sexton and Mary McPherson; brotherin-law, Larry Blevins; a very dear personal friend, Earlene Arthur Ward; a slew of nieces and nephews that were all dear to his heart and many wonderful friends that he loved.
Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel.
Funeral service: Thursday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Lane South Crest Chapel with pastors Gene Strauss and Jon Bemis officiating.
Burial: Lakewood South Memory Gardens, with military honors.

Mary Wright Montague Ferguson, 100 Chattanooga
Mary Wright Montague Ferguson, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died peacefully Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. She was 100.
She was born Nov. 28, 1915, in Chattanooga and grew up on Union Avenue, now a part of the McCallie campus (where students enjoyed it as a haven for bridge and occasional smoking).
She was a graduate of Bright School (‘26), Girls Preparatory School (‘31), attended Hollins College and graduated with a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia.
She was the daughter of the late Margaret Reid Peale of Crossroads, Va., and Robert Toombs Wright of Chattanooga.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Junior League of Chattanooga, National Society of Colonial Dames of America, Chickamauga Chapter, The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Lookout Mountain Garden Club.
She was active in the Red Cross Canteen during World War II, very active as a volunteer in Changed Lives, a volunteer at the Memorial Hospital Cancer Center and a volunteer at First Presbyterian Church and often a participant in their foreign mission trips.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norton Thayer Montague Jr., of Chattanooga and much later by her husband, Robert Thrift Ferguson of Charlotte, N.C. She was also preceded by her brother, John Peale Wright of Lookout Mountain; grandson, Dr. Charles Thayer Montague and grandson, Joseph Awerkamp.
Survivors include: Twin sons, Dr. Norton Thayer (Cynthia) Montague, III of Shoal Creek, Ala., and Dr. Robert Toombs Wright (Betsy) Montague of Elder Mountain; daughter, Mary Caroline (Robert) Awerkamp of Maple Hill, Kan.; 12 grandchildren, Margaret Montague (John Pollock), Robert (Kiran) Montague Jr., Mary Frances (Jason) Stone, Thayer (Carrie) Montague, Georgia (Hans) Baldau, Caroline Awerkamp, Virginia Madrid, Robert (Inger) Awerkamp, Louise Awerkamp, Marilyn (Aaron) Darakjy, Francis (Shannon) Awerkamp and Mary Awerkamp; 48 greatgrandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren.

Very recently, while in declining health she asked for pen and paper and wrote, “We will now help each other to serve God.” This statement is a fine example of her belief and how she lived her life.

David Wayne Clark, 57 Ringgold
David Wayne Clark, of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at his residence. He was 57.
A native of Ormond Beach, Fla., he lived in the Ringgold area most of his life. He was a member of Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church, a former employee of American General where he worked for seven years and was the owneroperator of Husband for Hire since 1996.
David was a Civil War relic scuba diver and was an antique car enthusiast.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Gordon Clark and brother, Garry Lamar Clark Sr.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 37 years, Jeanine Fauscett Clark of Ringgold; son, Jason (Rachel) Clark of Ringgold; mother, Georgia Howard Clark of Ringgold; stepfather, Harry “Bud” Harbst of Harrisburg, Penn.; sister, Martha (Rick) Bean of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; two brothers, Bobby (Mary) Clark of Ringgold and Steven (Daniel) Clark-Gibson of Signal Mtn., Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, Oct. 20, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services: Friday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at Tunnel Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Jay Tenney officiating. He will liein-state at the church from 1-2 p.m.

Robert Glenn Gamble, 74 LaFayette
Robert Glenn Gamble, of LaFayette, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at his home in the peaceful valley he so loved. His wife Helen was at his side, along with one of his dedicated caregivers, Sonya Broome. He was 74.
Robert was a farmer for 40+ years. Farming was truly his calling; he loved the soil, trees, and the beauty of God’s creation to the depth of his soul. We are all better for having known Robert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gamble Sr. and Betty Murphey Gamble and sister, Betty Robinson.
Survivors include: His wife, Helen Pegues Gamble of 38 years; mother-inlaw, Celia Pegues of Albertville, Ala., sisters-in-law, Patricia Pegues of Decatur, Ala., and Juanita Bright of Albertville, Ala; brothers-in-law, Tommy Pegues of Albertville, Ala., and Jimmy Robinson of Chattanooga; cousin, Sara Bossong and a host of adored nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, Oct. 20, from 4-8 p.m. at LaFayette Presbyterian Church.
Funeral service: Friday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of LaFayette with Rev. Cathy Meyer, Pastor Ken Waddell and Stacey Gray officiating.
Burial; LaFayette City Cemetery.

Amarilys Peraza Machado, 54 Ringgold
Amarilys Peraza Machado, of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016. She was 54.
She was a resident of Miami, Fla., but has been a resident of Ringgold for the past four months and was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Erasmo Peraza.
Survivors include: Her loving husband, Rafael Machado; children, Eleni (Angel F.) Martinez and Kristian Machado; brother, Alex Peraza and grandchild, Francis.
Visitation: Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. until the service time.
Funeral service: Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial: Catoosa Memorial Gardens.
