LaFayette re­mains per­fect, now ranked No. 3 in Class AAAA

The LaFayette Lady Ram­blers moved all the way up to No. 3 in the lat­est Score At­lanta Class AAAA polls last week and ex­tended their sea­son-open­ing win­ning streak to 12 games with a 4-2 home vic­tory over Gilmer last Tues­day.

Ash­ton Stalling threw the first 6.1 in­nings for LaFayette, al­low­ing just three hits and strik­ing out nine to get the win. Madi­son Pet­ti­grew came on for the save, get­ting the fi­nal two outs in the sev­enth, in­clud­ing one via strike­out.

Madi Ash­ley went 2-for-2 for the Lady Ram­blers, while Pet­ti­grew, Me­gan Wil­son and Sam Ad­kins had one hit each.

LaFayette (12-0 over­all, 5-0 in 6-AAAA) will head to Boyn­ton on Wed­nes­day to make up its game with Her­itage. First pitch is set for 5:55 p.m. On Thurs­day, the Orange-and-Black will play at South­east Whit­field (5:55).
