matches, Ludy got a win for LaFayette, 8-2, over Grace Day, while the Lady Ram­blers’ team of Brewer and Green­lee Foun­tain beat Ans­ley Bandy and Mal­lo­rie John­son, 8-4.

LaFayette will now turn its at­ten­tion to the Re­gion 6-AAAA tour­na­ment, which will be held at Lakeshore Park in Dal­ton on April 10-11.

Ring­gold edged out by North Mur­ray

The Ring­gold ten­nis teams came up just a lit­tle shy in their ef­forts against North Mur­ray last Wed­nes­day as both the Tigers and Lady Tigers lost by scores of 3-2.

Zoie Met­calf won in sin­gles for the Ring­gold girls, while the team of Pittman and Rachel Ak­ers scored a win in dou­bles.

In the boys’ match, Drew An­der­son won at

No. 1 sin­gles, while Cook and Pittman won again at No. 1 dou­bles.

The Re­gion 6-AAA tour­na­ment will be held in Cal­houn April 10-11. Seed­ings for the tour­na­ment have not yet been de­ter­mined.

Ridge­land loses to Dade County

The Ridge­land ten­nis teams dropped 3-0 home de­ci­sions to Dade County last Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon.

Eric Counts de­feated Evan Boed­ing, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 1 sin­gles, while Devin Avery picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win over Fred Norman in the other sin­gles match. In the only dou­bles match, Hay­den Kon­rad and Jesse Chen beat Boed­ing and Norman, 8-6.

In the girls’ match, Abby Moore got past Ni­c­hole Payne, 6-1, 6-3, while Mi­randa Irvin stopped Lexi Mitchell, 6-1, 6-2. The Lady Wolver­ines closed it out as Karen and Crys­tal Zheng de­feated Payne and Mitchell, 8-1.
