Lo­cal ar­chi­tect pro­moted

Josh An­drews, a lo­cal ar­chi­tect, has been pro­moted to prin­ci­pal at Lord Aeck Sar­gent, an award-win­ning ar­chi­tec­tural and ur­ban plan­ning firm.

An­drews has been with Lord Aeck Sar­gent since 2000 and has sig­nif­i­cant ex­per­tise in higher ed­u­ca­tion fa­cil­i­ties fo­cus­ing on sci­ence/ tech­nol­ogy, ac­tive learn­ing, stu­dent life and his­toric preser­va­tion, as well as K-12 and cor­po­rate projects. He is in­volved in plan­ning, pro­gram­ming, de­sign, con­struc­tion ad­min­is­tra­tion and project man­age­ment.

An­drews has man­aged a num­ber of higher ed­u­ca­tion projects, in­clud­ing the Har­ris A. Smith Build­ing for Pack­ag­ing Sci­ence at Clem­son Univer­sity and the Hu­man and Agri­cul­tural Bio­sciences Build­ing I at Vir­ginia Polytech­nic In­sti­tute and State Univer­sity.

He is a Na­tional Coun­cil of Ar­chi­tec­tural Reg­is­tra­tion Boards cer­tifi­cate holder and serves on the board of di­rec­tors for The Mu­seum School of Avon­dale Es­tates.
