Test your recipe in new chili cook off
Do you have a favorite chili recipe that your family and friends love?
Here is your chance to put it to the test. There is a little over a month to test out that fabulous recipe and then put it to the test.
Who would ever think that there are go many variations of a chili recipe? A number of years ago, I was house sitting for a friend and asked if there was more I could do for her? She left her chili recipe for me on her kitchen counter. I was rather excited to see someone else’s recipe beside mine or my mothers. To my dismay, the entire recipe called for “One can of kidney beans, one pound of hamburger and a half a bottle of ketchup.” To each his own, I didn’t taste it but I made it her way.
Swoyersville Community Ambulance will be hosting their first chili cook off from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. Cost is $10 to register. For information or to register, call 570-2878360.
