Fagnano, Billport defeat Scranton
Nakazi Terry raced 61 yards down the sideline for a touchdown, giving Scranton a nine-point lead with under three minutes to play.
That was enough time for Joseph Fagnano.
Williamsport’s quarterback hit on 10 of his last 11 passes, his final one an 18-yard touchdown to Colin Esposito that helped cut the deficit to four points, then Latrelle Jackson turned a Knights turnover into a game-winning, 32-yard score as the Millionaires stunned Scranton, 38-34, at Memorial Stadium on Friday night.
Williamsport (5-1) climbed out of a 21-3 hole, with Fagnano completing 19 of his 22 passes after halftime.
“This was something special,” said Fagnano, who finished with 275 yards passing and four total touchdowns. “The guys just really came together in the second half. It was a different atmosphere. I’ve never been a part of something like this. It’s amazing really. It’s amazing.”
