Irving returns, Celtics earn 13th straight win
NEW YORK — Kyrie Irving returned to the lineup and scored 25 points while wearing a mask, and the Boston Celtics beat the Brooklyn Nets 109-102 on Tuesday night for their 13th straight victory.
The Celtics remained unbeaten since an 0-2 start heading into their showdown Thursday in Boston against the NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

HOUSTON — DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points and the Toronto Raptors built a big lead in the first half and held on for a win over the Houston Rockets.

DALLAS — LaMarcus Aldridge scored a seasonhigh 32 points in his hometown and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks.
PITTSBURGH — Sidney Crosby ended a long goal drought and assisted on Conor Sheary’s game-winner 16 seconds into overtime as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-4 on Tuesday night.
Crosby scored his sixth of the season, Sheary had a pair of goals and Patric Hornqvist added one for Pittsburgh. Phil Kessel got his eighth of the season and has goals in four straight games. Kessel, the team’s leading scorer, has at least one point in five straight games — and 16 of 20 this season.
