ATI pre­sented with plaque

Avi­a­tion Tech­nolo­gies Inc., the fixed base op­er­a­tor at the Wilkes-barre/scranton In­ter­na­tional Air­port, was pre­sented a plaque from Pa­tient Air­lift Ser­vices, a non­profit char­i­ta­ble avi­a­tion or­ga­ni­za­tion that ar­ranges free air trans­porta­tion for med­i­cal, com­pas­sion­ate, hu­man­i­tar­ian and mil­i­tary needs. The gen­eros­ity of the avi­a­tion com­mu­nity is es­sen­tial to the PALS pro­gram and mis­sion, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease. FBOS of­ten waive or re­duce fees as­so­ci­ated with the PALS flights, in­clud­ing land­ing and fu­el­ing, and make sure the needs of the PALS pi­lots and pas­sen­gers are met. ATI sup­plies fuel to the sched­uled air car­ri­ers, busi­ness and pri­vate air­craft, op­er­ates a Part 145 air­craft re­pair sta­tion, and pro­vides char­ter air­craft and op­er­ates a Flight School, which in­cludes flight in­struc­tion for Mary­wood Univer­sity.
