Burglary ... A resident on the 4000 block of Pilgrim Road came home for lunch just before noon July 21 to find a man in his upstairs master bathroom, police said. The suspect tried to run but was caught by the homeowner, police said. A struggle ensued and both men tumbled down the stairs, police said. The suspect struck the victim in the head, broke free and fled the scene on a gold Mongoose mountain bike, police said. Police set up a perimeter and began canvassing the neighborhood, searching for the suspect, police said. Officers transported the victim to a residence in the 4000 block of School House Lane to question a resident who fit the suspect’s description, police said. The victim positively identified 20-yearold Michael Gonzalez, of Philadelphia, as the man who broke in his home and fought with him, police said. Gonzalez was
arrested and processed pending arraignment, police said.
Burglary ... Police responded to the 600 block of Thornhill Drive after a home security alarm was activated at 1:27 a.m. July 18, police said. The homeowner was away, police said. Police discovered signs of forced entry to a window and the front door, police said. A K-9 unit was brought in to track the surrounding area for potential suspects, police said. No suspects were found, but detectives gathered substantial DNA evidence from the scene, police said. The homeowner was contacted and informed of the break-in, police said. He made arrangements to secure the home and have the damage repaired, police said. Nothing was taken from the house, police said.
