Bur­glary ... A res­i­dent on the 4000 block of Pil­grim Road came home for lunch just be­fore noon July 21 to find a man in his up­stairs mas­ter bath­room, po­lice said. The sus­pect tried to run but was caught by the home­owner, po­lice said. A strug­gle en­sued and both men tum­bled down the stairs, po­lice said. The sus­pect struck the vic­tim in the head, broke free and fled the scene on a gold Mon­goose moun­tain bike, po­lice said. Po­lice set up a perime­ter and be­gan can­vass­ing the neigh­bor­hood, search­ing for the sus­pect, po­lice said. Of­fi­cers trans­ported the vic­tim to a res­i­dence in the 4000 block of School House Lane to ques­tion a res­i­dent who fit the sus­pect’s de­scrip­tion, po­lice said. The vic­tim pos­i­tively iden­ti­fied 20-yearold Michael Gon­za­lez, of Philadel­phia, as the man who broke in his home and fought with him, po­lice said. Gon­za­lez was

ar­rested and pro­cessed pend­ing ar­raign­ment, po­lice said.

Bur­glary ... Po­lice re­sponded to the 600 block of Thorn­hill Drive af­ter a home se­cu­rity alarm was ac­ti­vated at 1:27 a.m. July 18, po­lice said. The home­owner was away, po­lice said. Po­lice dis­cov­ered signs of forced en­try to a win­dow and the front door, po­lice said. A K-9 unit was brought in to track the sur­round­ing area for po­ten­tial sus­pects, po­lice said. No sus­pects were found, but de­tec­tives gath­ered sub­stan­tial DNA ev­i­dence from the scene, po­lice said. The home­owner was con­tacted and in­formed of the break-in, po­lice said. He made ar­range­ments to se­cure the home and have the dam­age re­paired, po­lice said. Noth­ing was taken from the house, po­lice said.
