Judge Horton cannot be trusted

I respond to the Sunday Dispatch editorial “Convicted judge should step down.” It is incredible that Judge Tim Horton will be allowed to continue serving on the 10th District Court of Appeals. He should be removed immediately.

His conduct has violated the Ohio Code of Judicial Conduct and the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct. The misdemeanors he pleaded guilty to reflect adversely on his ability to be honest and trustworthy. He engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit and misrepresentation.

Horton can no longer maintain the bond of trust needed in his profession. A sitting judge should not have both an Ohio Supreme Court number and a criminal slate number.
