Salaries at agency go through the roof

-

JobsOhio increased its payroll last year by 23 percent, despite the fact that its performance was down 13 percent while it added 13 new employees (“More of staff getting big pay at JobsOhio,” Dispatch article, last Thursday). The director is now making $445,036! Mind you, his predecessor was making $142,000 before Gov. John Kasich privatized the organization.

The agency now has nine employees each making more than $200,000 a year. The catch is we are not allowed to look at what they are doing because there is no transparency here.

This is all being funded by taxes on alcohol. JobsOhio must think we are all drinking more and cannot see the folly here.
